Five Reasons to Love Vancouver

City of Views- Regardless of where you go in Vancouver, British Columbia, you will find spectacular views. Vancouver is an global sanctuary located on the English Bay in the bottom of the mountains. The shore range climbs straight up from sea level to get a stunning 3,000 foot perspective, snow-capped and covered in beautiful Douglas Fir trees with fresh ocean breezes. You can literally reside anywhere and find a fantastic view whether You're West towards the University of British Columbia campus, living in Northern Vancouver across Lion's Gate Bridge, located on the West End of Downtown nearby Stanley Park or residential dwelling near Kitsilano Beach. Look out your window or simply step outside where the big city and nature mix, Vancouver is something to see.

Live-able City- Vancouver lives up to its title as world's most "live-able city." Residents residing in quaint neighborhoods are able to walk a couple blocks to the shore, a café, or downtown Vancouver. Residences, work, markets and stores are incorporated within town. And it is superbly done, with trees everywhere including downtown in which Vancouver's spectacular high rises and skyscrapers adorn the city. Yaletown's high-tech layouts are miniature and curved with terrace gardens high in the sky. In the base of buildings you'll see stores, bright green grassy parks, water views using sailboats, people on bicycles, public art and individuals out and about enjoying the city. It is truly a spectacular city.

International City- Vancouver in it is one hundred and twenty-five year history, has grown from a tiny Indian village into an wonderful metropolis. This contemporary city attracts individuals from all around the world. It's not unusual to hear a number of languages walking down the road. This unbelievable diversity is represented in restaurants where you are able to enjoy continental cuisines.

Canadian Courtesy- Among the first things you'll notice while driving around in Vancouver is driving courtesy. Should you sign with a blinker you need to change lanes in heavy traffic, then guess what? The motorist behind you lets you personally in. I believe I was in shock about this because I'm a Los Angeles driver where it is pretty speedy and you might get lucky just about half of the time to change lanes. Kudos to the Canadians to be always polite not just as motorists, but also in customer service providing excellent information and courtesy at hotels, shops and restaurants. It was quite refreshing in Canada to get such a high level of customer services. People were attentive and genuine.

Historical City- Vancouver isn't only a place of natural beauty, but one of cultural diversity. In vancouver blog , Captain George Vancouver explored the Burrard Inlet meeting the First Nation Coast Salish people who have inhabited Vancouver for thousands of years. But it was the Gold Rush in 1858, that brought thousands of prospectors into the area. "Gassy" Jack Deighton established a saloon on the north side of Vancouver Downtown, and this became known as Gastown. On the western shore of Downtown, Stanley Park was opened in 1888. Today visitors rent bikes and ride around the park. It's also a favourite resort and picnic area hosting a tea house and visitors center with stunning perspective's of the Lion's Gate Bridge. The park was named for Lord Stanley, the former Governor General of Canada. In 1886, Chinese employees came together with the development of the Canadian Pacific Railway. The railway opened the doorways to Vancouver and recognized it as a transport hub, social and economic centre.

A town of diverse nationalities reflects Vancouver's culture and cosmopolitan appeal. There are Aboriginal populations, British descendants, Chinese, Irish, Japanese, German, Indo-Pakistani, French, Italian, Dutch, Scandinavian, Ukrainian, Filipino, Greek and more. Vancouver is also home to many foreign businesses with global trade involving natural products and delicious teas from Japan. Vancouver is undoubtedly a world class city which has many conveniences.
